If you can, find some similar drawings that your company has and used those as a reference. There should be several people in your company who have made similar drawings that can provide some assistance.

Is your question referring to software or construction materials and specs?

If it is broken, fix it. If it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.

im sorry with the abiguity of my query..
i hv ppl here to help me with the basic calculations but i was looking for some literature references for the subject dealing with the calculations n explaining its significance...
if u hv some software pertaining to the subject... or some online links in any format it would be very helpful...

thanx

This link might be a good starting point for the heavy current parts of the board. There is other information on the CDA website which might be of interest too. Have a look.

I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem...

Software for drafting --> AutoCAD
For the draftings like TurbineGen said check in your company for older draftings. That is from what I started, now they are working with my drafting as a roll model for newbies. The way how technical drafting should look like are usually defined in national standards, At least that is the case here in Russia (I work for Austrian company, but I need to honor Russian drafting specification on that matter).
My advice to you, If you draft so that electrical salesman can recognize equipment on your drafting you did a good job :)

You will probably also get more help if you learn to type in complete sentences, using complete words, constructed in proper grammar, and then spell checked. u is not a word, nor is hv (HV is high voltage but doesn't work in context), nor is ppl (parts per liter?). That kind of writing (?) may be appropriate else where, but generally doesn't get very far here?

I'm sorry davidbeach.. I seem to have unneccessarily hurt you.. My intensions were not so..
My main concern was to get the informaion which i was looking for, which i have got thanks to ssolobodan, ScottyUK and TurbineGen.

As far as using the aforementioned language is concerned, i wasn't aware that you couln't use it in a public forum like this site.

Thanks a ton for informing me.

rashi; Part of it is that this site is intended for professionals speaking with other professionals who are often not English native speakers. Many times it is obvious these non-English speakers are even working through a translator. Chat-room/instant messaging abbreviations and non-punctuation raise havoc with those participants.

Furthermore we are talking about subjects that need as much clarity as possible for answers to be understood and comprehended. These details can be clouded or lost while readers are focused on decrypting the strange text.

That's why we want as clear questions as we can get.

Thanks.
