I have found an equation for the expected power transmission loss as a function of frequency in the presence of a side orifice at this British site: However, I have been unable to confirm this equation by further research and it provides no reference for itself. Can you direct me to another source for this equation? Thank you.

The link did not go directly to the equation. It said:

please use our A to Z Index on the Science and Engineering Encyclopedia

Can you provide more detail/direction?

Good luck,

To a ChE, the glass is always full - 1/2 air and 1/2 water.
