Power transmission loss in a side branch orifice

I have found an equation for the expected power transmission loss as a function of frequency in the presence of a side orifice at this British site:

However, I have been unable to confirm this equation by further research and it provides no reference for itself. Can you direct me to another source for this equation? Thank you.
