Powercopy of elements inside a sketch

Good evening all,

I need to somehow make a sketch from building blocks that i can instantiate (from file or catalog) just like a powercopy.

Can this be done ?

Actually yes, all the lines (piping routes) need to be in a sketch.

I needed to rapidly instantiate some 14mm lines (spacers) and some arcs with different radii (30,45, 90deg elbows). I got it done manually in 30min but i would have loves to have some predefined stuff.

vba could do, but not super easy... but again I am asking : do you REALLY need it in a sketch?

if your route is planar, you can do GSD geometry / powercopies then when done, make a join of it then project the join in sketch

I really like the flexibility of a sketch, you can pretty much know how will the routes look and modify them in one step, also you can have a visual confirmation when you f* up a route (collisions, bend radii..).

Working with GSD elements I have to constantly add some here, substract some there, constantly double clicking.

I am still trying to maybe have some hybrid approach. The job gets done anyway, but I would like at least to halve the time it takes.

You can do this with vb, but with different approach, you can make macro for all profiles that you have.
