Pressure Area Method for opening, Part 4.5 of VIII-2 applies to VIII-1.

My question is if the Pressure Area Method of VIII-2 part 4.5, the appendix 1-10 in previous Div.1 2015, is allowed to use for VIII-1, it just is like using the previous Appendix 1-10. I thick so. Otherwise, there is no rule to follow for the reinforcement of opening Rn/R>0.7 for VIII-1 vessel.
However, deleting Appendix 1-10 from Division 1 and moving it to Division 2 4.5 may confuse people and dare not apply this method to VIII-1 vessel. For example, it is not allowed to use Appendix 1-10 option for a new VIII-1 vessel design by PV Lite warning note.

No it isn't. 1-10 It is different and outdated. The Div 2 method is the latest update.

The introduction of Appendix 46 in the latest code is a huge improvement, removing many discrepancies and loopholes. It reduces confusion and disagreement.

If someone finds Appendix 46 confusing and are daunted by the thought of using it, I would question whether they are suited to being an Engineer.

DriveMeNuts - Kindly advise directly if Division 2 4.5 allows to apply for VIII-1 vessels opening. My question is not if Appendix 1-10 updated.

Yes, 4.5 is available to VIII-1 vessels through Appendix 46. See UG-16(a).
