Hi everybody,
I need to know if it is possibile to show pressure loads applied on solid or shell element once the run is completed. I mean, I wrote the input file directly through a text editor. The model is based on solid element (C3D8) and I've applied a pressure load on the faces of some element. I need to verify that the pressure load direction is correct. Is it possibile to show pressure load direction (as for example I can do with imposed displacement) with abaqus viewer, opnening the odb file once the analyses is finished? Thanks

Pressures are always normal to the face of course so you know the direction. I tend to look at the stress in that particular direction to confirm I've applied the loads correctly. So if the pressure is in the X drection then plot Sxx. The value you input should be the value contoured at that surface.
