In Kazakhstan, our refinery safety (pressure) relief valves are Soviet standard, with inherant problems of unreliability. The springs need changing annually, for instance. Can anyone suggest western manufacturers who we could contact for quotations and possible purchase?
Also, what it the normal length of time between maintenance? What sets the maximum time between maintenance?

KazakhJeff ,

Some of the names for PSV's we use are Crosby, Teledyne Ferris, CONSOLIDATED, ANDERSON-GREENWOOD,ENARDO.

Normal lenght of time is set generaly by process conditions and prevous inspection history.

Max lenght of time I believe is 10 years. In my state we follow the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.

PS. I hear that some pressure vessels in Kazakhstan were thermal arcspray coated. Would you have any information on how those coatings are working?
