Years back, when I started dealing with vessels, I took a week-long ASME class that was fairly helpful. Suggest you look into something like that. Compress may also offer classes.
 
The issue with any program is you need to know what data to put in it. Watching even a bit of that video, if you don't know what the popups mean then you can't respond.

Nowadays software are very user friendly than even a non engineering professional with some common sense can operate it. Hence learning a software should not be your priority.
Before you learn to operate any software you must learn basics of static equipment and piping design. This is more important. I have provided a link of a you tube playlist. There are many such free courses on the net. A simple google search will do the trick
