Hello all,
I am facing an issue with a pressure vessel door which need to be replaced.
The pressure vessel was manufactured in accordance with ASME VIII-1 and was hydrostatically tested and the FORM U-1 was signed by the authorized inspector.
The said vessel has a removable door which now need to be replaced. No welding is needed as part of the replacement process.
Is this replacement shall be consider a "Repair" which needs to made in accordance with NBIC Part 3, 3.2.2?
Is there a way or a wavier which will allow me to classify the door replacement as a "routine maintenance" or a "routine repair" and eliminate the need to comply with NBIC Part 3, 3.2.2 requirements?
Thank you.
