Hi,

In your opinion where does Version 5 fall down , compared with Version 3.1?

I ask as I have several issues with version 5 and actually believe it to be inferior in many ways.

Thanks for all considered opinions.

Hi,

I'm working with version 5 for about 6 months and I agree with your statement that it's a bit buggy. I must say that P3e lacks a great amount of stability and performance.

The guys at Primavera developed their package around a Java core and I don't think that this approach is suitable for such an enterprise software package. For a windows environment there are several more powerfull and stable choices.

There is also an issue with summary values. When I use a duration % complete column, the values in the summarized rows almost never reflect the true %. The same issue occurs when I use duration and unit columns.

Don't get me wrong I still think that Primavera is a fine PM package but it needs a lot of fine tuning...
