Has anyone heard of a Project Management certification called PRINCE2? This appears to be very popular in Europe. If so, how good is it? For that matter, is there a internationally recognised Project Management certification that one can do?

I am currently training for PRINCE2. I cant tell you how good it is compared to other quals in Project management as I havent any, but it is the standard against which all government projects in the UK are measured. Hope this helps. David Mann

Prince2 is becoming internationally recognised. There is also the Project Management Institute (PMI) which has professional exams and certifictaion. Prince2 and PMI are very compatible. The PMI has a thing it calls the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK), which is the syllabus for its exams. Although not trully a methodology (unlike Prince2 which is a method), it is very comprehensive and represents "Best Practice" from hundreds of PM vetrans. If you had PMI certification and passed the Prince2 training, you could then take on everything projects could throw at you

Can anyone provide some more details about this Prince2 certification like where am I supposed to apply and how to proceed further to obtain this certificate.

Regards,
Joe
