Printing Problem with Excel 2007

I've been trying to resolve a printing problem since last June with my VAR and SolidWorks but have gotten nowhere. Sometimes Excel 2007 spreadsheets embedded in drawings will print out as solid black blocks (see attached). SW has reported a fix for this problem in a service pack, however I still experience this problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Have you made sure your Video card is certified along with the driver?

Is that a screen shot of your Print Preview or a scanned page?

What SP are you running?

Thanks, Scott.

My video card is certified (Nvidia Quadro FX 3500). The print preview looks fine. The attachment was a scanned image of my print out. I'm running SW 2007 SP 5.0. Since this post I think I may have resolved this problem. It seem that if I insert the spreadsheet from an existing Excel file it prints fine. Id I create the spreadsheet within SW it will print as a black box. To this date my work around has been to save as a PDF and print that.

You said the card was certified, but how about the driver?

Most likely its a Printer driver. Because if the print preview is correct then its the printer driver that cannot execute the data correctly during the print.

I am not sure, but is it not true that SolidWorks does not support Excel 2007? I even think there are 2 SPR's that are still open on the subject.
I know here if a table is created or opened in Excel 2007, users using Excel 2003 can not open or edit the table, they just get an error "failed to launch application" and does not matter if you open in new window or try and edit within SolidWorks.

SolidWorks 2008 x64 SP 2.0 on Windows XP x64
Dell Percision 490
Intel Xeon 5160 @ 3.00Hz (Duel Core)
8 GB RAM - Nvidia Quadro FX1700 (6.14.11.6262)

SPR#359864 - officially support Office 2007 for design tables

This might affect embedded tables as well.

Try opening a file you have been working on, on a machine with Office 2003. Any BOM or Design table will not be able to be modified or even opened.
