I'm a draftsman thats been using AutoCAD since Release 10 and have been working with Mechanical Desktop for the last year. Recently the company I work for added Pro/E to our list of software. I've been teaching myself Pro/E since last Friday. Can anyone suggest web pages/books that will get me on my feet and productive in a short amount of time?

thanks

PTC's training is pretty basic, but not necessarily specific to different applications. We have implemented an in-house training program that uses Cadtrain ( CDs and example components that are specific to our industry and modeling practices, which seems to greatly improve the learning curve for beginners.

Kinetivision.com has streaming videos that are really helpful.

Check both websites to see if anything is to your liking.

The "Step-by-Step" Premier by Roger Tagwood is quite good. I think the best way is to do exercises given in the Basic & Advance Tutorial Training Guides bt PTC. Once the concept of Datum Plane orientation & selecting the correct Planes for sketching & reference is clear, rest of the things are quite easy, infact easier than Mechanical Desktop.
