Hi all,
Earthquake charts for prob. of annual exceedance 0.01, 0.005, and 0.0021 are given in building codes. Is there any way to calculate these charts for other probabilities of exceedance? like 0.00019 (9% in 500 years).

Thanks a lot,
Max.

Are you talking about IBC here?
I believe the seismologist can develop these curves for other probabilities of exceedance based on the same seimic source and attenuation relationship.
But why do you want to have the design spectrum for a PE of 9% in 500 years anyway?
