We are having a Metal seated jacketed Butterfly valve for vacuum service in our Plant fromthe year 2001. Now During Physical inspection of the Valve we are finding Metal
rubbing in the Disc & Valve Seat. The valve is also in
passing condition. What could be the problem?

Thanks & Regards

The problem can can have numerous root causes so to provide a solution you need to provide more data.

Location of Damage to the valve centreline
type of damage
Line media
etc

Are you using a High Performance or Triple Offset Valve. High Performance BFVs always rub near the shaft line.
