Hello to all,
This is a new problem which I am facing while drafting.I have got a huge assembly of floor console and I have modified some sections and accordingly want to show the changes in a new drawing i.e., drafting.
But when I give detail names like Detail S,X,AS,AX,BZ, Bx and Z it is not taking, I found out the reason that their names are mentioned in characters to skip (ppt attached) .How to remove these letters from that skip menu….For God’s sake I really don’t know .....I checked all the settings .I have attached brief ppt ,So please guide me with this.................

The preference you've found is for parts lists, not for view labels. Changing that preference will not fix your problem.

There is a default for view labels though.
File -> Utilities -> Customer Defaults.
Drafting -> General -> Standard (TAB).
Click Customise Standard.
View Label -> General (TAB).

You can then change the allowed letters.
You will then have to save the new standard you've created and specify that is the new drafting standard to use.

Thanks Dear,
But after creating role and restarting Nx session also I checked it .Its not Taking Detail S.So Please check from ur side .

Roles have nothing to do with this. Tony was talking about updating the Customer Default Drafting standard. Once an updated Drafting standard as has been saved and you've logged-off and restarted your session, open the drawing and go to...

Tools -> Drafting Standard...

...and select the newly updated standard. Now your Drawing should behave based on the changes you made the newly updated drafting standard, as Tony outlined earlier.
