Hello every one.
I have a problem in EJMA standard.
We know that p(si) and p(sc) are two pressures that above them we have in-stability.
so the limiting design pressure according to the section 4.12.1.6 will be the minimum of these two value.
but the problem is in this phrase that says :
"These equations include factors such that the ratio between the limiting design
pressure and the critical squirm pressure is approximately 2.25 for column squirm
and 1.75 for inplane squirm."
"these equations" in the above phrase related to the p(sc) and p(si) equations.
The above phrase says that :
limiting design pressure = 2.25 * critical squirm pressure
which means that design pressure is greater than critical pressure.
I really confused!
please help me.
thanks all.
