Hi, I have been using the abaqus example problems manual because some of the examples are actually quite similar to what I would like to do.
The problem is that for some reason when I load the input files into cae and then create a job and let it run, the solver always crashes with an error.
But when I create a job straight from the input file and not from the cae environment there are no problems.
It is really weird.
Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Thanks

Well, it depends on the example problem. Things like negative eigenvalues and too large iteration steps usually.
It's also strange that when I look at the BC's and steps they don't seem to complete, for some reason when I load the input file into cae its missing things, but when u load it into the solver directly it works. I really don't understand why.

Yes, I have also had problem running input files from cae and had to run them straight from prompt commands. I could be that the exmaple you are looking at requries one input file to be process after another. When I run input files in cae, sometimes I get errors with some input commands not being understood by abaqus. It is strange and SIMULIA seem aware of it and may sort the problems in the future.
