Hello,
I am trying to perform the dynamic implicit of designed mechanical amplifier in Abaqus 6.11. Before going for dynamic implicit, I have done frequency analysis and found eigen frequency for designed mechanical amplifier. I have used this eigen frequency in dynamic implicit analysis to get the displacement and stress values of the amplifier. In dynamic implicit, I have performed 3 simulations with different frequency values. One is with Eigen frequency (in this case i would get maximum displacement) and other two values are taken much below than Eigen frequency value. I am using structural damping factor of 0.001 and young's modulus of 70000 Mpa
Example:-
frequency(Hz)-------->Displacement(mm)
98.172(Eigen)-------->1.2458
80------------------->1.2284
20------------------->1,2242
My question is that, I change frequency so much but my displacement does not change significantely which i think, it should be. Generally, at Eigen frequency, displacement value is maximum and as you reduce frequency, displacemnet starts to reduce significantly (or exponentially)
Could you please suggest me that what kinds of changes can i make so i would get correct results because I have doubts with this kind of results.
Thank you,
Regards,
Raval
