Problem using Offset Section Cut in V5R12

When creating a offset section cut in a drawing, I would usually get a preview but once I indicate where I want it placed the only thing that's displayed is a big red "X". Any suggestion why and how I can fix this? Thanks...

I have had the same problem in R10. In my case it was a Brep imported as a STP from another program. However, this does not always happen. Depending on what system it comes from, the Brep's behave differently.

What are you sectioning V4 or V5 data, did you clean all of your models, is it a Product É
