Dear people,

I have a problem with preprocessor-real constants add and after choosing the beam I got the message

"The beam 188 element type does not require real constants"

How to solve it? Before that I choose structural, element type beam 2d.

Regards

You will need to use SECTYP and SECDATA to define the properties of the beam - real constants, like some other elements in current ANSYS releases, are no longer used to define the properties of the element.

Can you give me detail information how to set properties of the beam? I dont know what is SECTYP and SECDATA. Explain what to do exactly in Ansys.

Best thing to do is go to the help manual and look at BEAM188, all of the details are explained very clearly.
