Hi all,

I am currently using NX8.5, i have modeled a small band and need to put a chamfer in the 4 corners, the object is completely symetric but i only seem to be able to blend 2 of the 4 corners. I have attached the model with the two corners done, can anybody give me any advice as to where i am going wrong?

It just constantly brings up an error message [shadessad]

Thanks in advance

James

Good idea, think i will use this approach thanks!

Any idea as to why it didn't want to blend properly?

Thanks again

James

Ah well, least there's a solution!

Thanks bud!

totally weird !
but you should be able to bend that from a flat pattern in sheet metal

I can neither explain why it doesn't create these blends.
But i can show why the first blend ends as it does. (- and require a second blend to look ok.)
This is because the blend doesn't have consistent cap faces to use, in neither end there is no suitable face to use , and there are 2 possible logical options.

Tomas

Hi,

Si pointed out that really the blend termination lines shouldn't be vertical, they should be normal to the outer edges. Long story short, here is attempt 2.
