Hallo guy,
I have a Mesh, Cquad spread in a surface form. the Mesh is a composite material. My question is, i wanted to create a hole on this mesh and then make a refinement of the mesh around this Hole. How do i go about remodelling this composite mesh to accommodate this hole. Thanks.
Any steps will be welcomed.

probably beeter to post in the FE forum.

what preprocessor do you use ? (FeMap, PATRAN, ...)

it should be very easy to remesh an area to account for a hole. however, since this hole isn't going to change loadpaths through the structure, it might be better to make a local detail model. i would make my detail model, including the hole, but have the hole filler in (so you have the same overall structure, yes?). then apply the interanl displacements from the overall coarse grid model, and you should get reasonably similar results. now open up the hole and see the difference ...
