Problems using "circular array" on a "draft"

Hello,
I am just wondering if anyone else has had any problems in NX4 with using a circular array of a group, where one of the features in the group is a draft. It seems that the circular array does not array the angle of the draft correctly. So as the draft gets copied around the circle it changes angles and does not copy consistently. Does anyone else have exterience with this or know how to avoid it?
Thanks,
Rick Gaston

Try to do the array before the draft. Then draft the original feature and use the 'draft all instances' option.

How are you applying the draft - from edge option or face option? What are you using as your vector reference? If you pick an edge that is going to be in the array then the taper direction for each instance may change.

The other possibility is that the draft relative to the array does not have a common vector. As in the vector isn't the same as the array axis. Either way if the features are booleaned (united or subtracted) then you might try using pattern face to create the circular array. No grouping is usually required with this method.

Best Regards
