Our company occasionally uses Radel (Medical 5500) but up until now our manufacturers using it were twice removed (through our parent company) in Europe. The finish on all the parts we've seen thus far has been a brilliant polish.
One of the machinists we are currently using in the states has no problem machining/finishing to the surface roughness we specify, but has no experience in achieving the brilliantly polished look with no visual tool marks in this material. I suppose it's possible that all of our previous parts had been molded and never machined, but that isn't feasible in our case with the sort of volume we deal with.
Does anyone know how to achieve the finish I describe in Radel so that I can make sure in the future it's specified in the drawing?
Much thanks.
