proe file sharing slow with XP 1

we just switched out our 3 seats of proe runing on nt to 3 new p4 2gig machines with win XP . all our files are stored on one computer and connected by a 100mbps switch on our network . opening and saving files on the other computers over the network is vary slow with xp ...please help

I had the same problem as you describe. My XP workstation took 45 min. to load an assembly that took 5 min. on an NT4 workstation. After much effort and numerous calls to PTC support, we found that our NT4 file server was the problem. After changing our file server to win2000 server, we had no problems. Assemblies load very quickly now.
