I just started on my own and seems like everyone required liability insurance (1,000,000) for bidding or minimum requirement for getting new projects.

I would like some suggestion on any insurance company recommendation for a small structural engineering firm (single , sole proprietorship) with mainly residential projects.

Called couple insurance on google and they said they don't accept structural engineer firm at this moment.

Any input will be great.

I suggest that you can consult with local association. They might be able to provide valuable advice.

Check out ASCE's professional liability insurance for their members. I don't know much about them, but I have seen many people on here post about using them and they seem happy.
