Hello everybody!
I am a mechanical engineer from Italy, working for a leader company in the centrifugal pumps' manufacturing field.
I am looking for some simple program/application in order to calculate loads on the pump's nozzles, once that the piping's loadings have been given by the piping's designers/stress analyzers.
Of course, my intention would be to verify the values given by this program, comparing them with the values given in Table 4 "Nozzle Loadings" of API Standard 610.
Thank you in advance for your kind co-operation & kind regards!

I think that the CAESAR II API-610 module would be able to do that work for you. I would suspect that CAEPIPE and other programs do something similar. In other words, the guys doing the stress analysis for you should be able to tell you the loads imparted on the pump and, with a knowledge of allowables, tell you whether or not they are acceptable.

Is your work flow structured such that the piping guys tell *you* the raw loads and then leave it to you to analyze the effects on the pump? I am just curious, since I am so used to having the pump guys give us their allowables and then feeding that back into the piping design.

Regards,

SNORGY.
