Any one out there using it? if so? any feedback? Good/bad. The demo I saw was impressive.

I found it difficult to use, however I do use the unfolding tools.

Does NX6 or newer Progressive die wizard have the ability to do "automated blank nesting"...anybody ?

Thanks,
James

It's semi automated. You have options to adjust your web thickness, you can rotate your blank, and etc. as you do this it calculates your material usage. How it works in you design your blank, go into blank layout, it will drop in 3 blanks, you set your pitch, width. You can copy or mirror for 2 out, and so on. It's useful.

I just bought it I haven't installed it yet...

DieMann44, nxtdinc, thanks for your replies.
Sounds like it doesn't calculate the rotation & spacing for me.
I'm looking for something that will do this so as to remove as much human error as possible. When I'm just guessing at how much material one arrangement would use compared to another I'm always afraid I'm overlooking a better arrangement even if it's just a little. A little change can add up to a lot of material usage over time.

Thanks,
James

It allows you to set your rotation and spacing so you can account for die conditions.
