Project Curve / Intersect Curve - Different after NX12

Greetings,

We are now using NX 1926, we used to use NX12 and prior. I am currently attempting to project a curve from an imported .prt file. It seems to make that part file the current work feature (the one I need lines from), then when I go back to work on Displayed Assembly, the curves go away. I use to be able to do this to my displayed assembly in 12 without issue. The new version of the project and intersect line behave much differently.

Is there a way to get the new version to behave like an older version?

It's the new Automatic Work Part Change. You can turn it off on the selection bar or in the customer defaults (see image below & attached).
