Project newbie - Resource % question!

Hi,

New to Project here. Why do some of my Resource names show a % value such as John Smith [200%]? What exaclty is that info, and is there a toggle for that display?

Usually, that means that the resource is allocated at double the normal work hours

Thanks for the info. I'm curious as to why this particular resource shows in gantt view as [200%], however, when I look in resource usage view, he is assigned 1 day of work, with 20% allocation. His name also for some reason shows as red in this view.

Red signifies overallocation. So somewhere in the project, he's overallocated.

% are what we call 'unit', in your case, it means that you guy is planned to work 200% of his time. Check his allocation by going to view, resources sheet and search for the red allocations, and reduce them !!
