I hope that I can explain this without confusing everyone.
Pre-NX4, you could create a projected view (other than left, right, front, top or bottom) using "add section view". This would place the hinge line and arrowheads on the drawing, defining the vector from which the view was taken.
Now, in NX4, they have "improved" the drafting package so that you can not take a section from a section (even if the view you needed was not a proper section). Unfortunately, they have not provided for odd projected views. I am getting around this by creating my "section" view, placing it on a scratch sheet, then adding a view in the correct orientation to the drawing. I include a label identifying the view. The problem with this is that if you change the view letters at the hinge line, the label at the view won't update and visa-versa.
Does anyone here have any suggestions as to a more efficient way to do this?
