Projection lines between views

Does anyone know if projection lines connecting two views of an orthographically projected drawing are specifically allowed or not allowed per the ASME Y14 specifications.

I found a section in Y14.3 that allows projection line for alignment of auxiliary views but haven't seen anything for 3rd angle projected views.

Thanks,
James

James,

After a brief runthrough I don't see any mention in *Y14.5-2009 and 2018 of the specific type of projection lines to which you're referring - it doesn't seem that the standard expressly allows or forbids it, so I'd say its fine if necessary. Are you dealing with hand drawn prints? Otherwise I wonder why such lines would be necessary in a drawing developed in CAD.

*Forgot to mention which versions I checked

Chez311,

Thanks for checking. I had the same results when I reviewed the Y14 series.
