Projection Options

Hi folks
Referring thread554-129366 can any one tell me how can make correct options for first angle projection or 3 rd angle projection.

Projection_type is not a config.pro setting. It is a *.dtl setting, as it only works with your drawings, not the model.

This is copied directly from Pro/E 2001 help file.


To Create a Drawing Setup File

Using Advanced > Draw Setup on the DRAWING menu, you can create a drawing setup file by saving a copy of the default setup file under a different file name, and then editing the copy. Drawing setup files contain the extension .dtl.

1. In the Menu Manager, click DRAWING > Advanced > Draw Setup. The Options dialog box opens and displays the options in the current drawing setup file. The options are organized in the list according to the function that they perform.

2. Save a copy of the current file under a different file name by clicking to open the Save a Copy dialog box. Then, save a copy of the current file under a different file name.

3. Click to open the new setup file, and then make edits to the file as desired.

4. After editing the file, click Apply to apply your changes, and then click Close to exit the Options dialog box. The new file is saved to the current working directory and is available for use by other drawings.

5. To update the drawing, do one of the following:
? Click View > Repaint
? Click the Redraw button
? Click View > Update > Current Sheet or All Sheets, and then use the GET SELECT menu to select the view you want to update.

The system updates the drawing using the parameter values of the new drawing setup file.

The name of the drawing option is "projection_type"

projection_type third_angle

In case you have the fortune or misfortune of using Wildfire you can get to the drawing options Menu Manager by Choosing
File > Properties > Drawing Options or right click in the drawing window with nothing selected and hit Properties.
