Good day
This is for a project in Dubai where in I have a 50m cantilver edge at the corner of the building starting from 2nd floor and the building projects out to carry 10 floors of hospital above . what will be the best proposal to design this area. The General internal floor slabs are flat slab with column drops. As cantilver support columns are spaced at 10m apart can I propose a deep 50m cantilver steel truss at every 10m span .with a back span for the span. How do I curb the huge moments incurred in the supports. Is there any option other than steel.Great if you can send me any reports you have in hand .Yes it is a 50m cantilver transfer slab--

It amazes me that someone who has been given responsibility to create a scheme for something so advanced sees the need to ask such basic questions on an engineering website.

I wouldn't comment on the feasibility of this project until calculation is made available. As a start, you should treat it just like a typical cantilevered beam column design. I would first to estimate the required beam depth through deflection consideration, then calculate the reactions on the column using elastic method. You may need to do several different structural arrangements (location of columns, shear walls...) on the column to make it works. At this point, with above grade member sizing is near/at the comfortable zone, you can then decide the foundation system to carry the load to the ground. Be patient, you have a lot of challenges ahead, why not relax, and start with simplest that your are surely can handle.
