I am a familiar user of Pipesim, but am also aware of the Prosper package. They seem to be reasonably similar in what they claim to simulate.
Does anyone know the main differences of application of these two packages, and when one might be superior to the other?

Cheers

Mat

Wilfully,
See thread378-220333 for my standard rant about getting what you deserve.

I've used both of the packages you mention and both have situations where they are very strong, and both have situations where they are less robust. The only way to tell if either will work for you is to try them on a real problem where you know the answers and see if you can make them match measured data.
