I'm trying to mesh a bended sheet using a 2Dmesh.
I selected the outside of the metal sheet (U-shaped) and would like the mesh to be formed "inwards".
While creating the Pshell properties I inserted a default thickness of 3mm and entered fiber distance Z1 at 0 and Z2 at 3
I've also already tried Z1=3 and Z2=0.
However, after creating said mesh, when I edit the display to also display 2D Element thickness and offset. The center of the 2D mesh is on the surface i created. So it seems like the fiber distance had no influence on that.
Is there a way to make this work? Or do I have to create a midsurface if I want the center of my mesh to be in the center of my sheet?
