Hi Guys,

What will be the largest and smallest orifice size(with complete designation)?

As far as i know '1D2' will be the smallest orifice size, and '?T?' is the largest one but i don't know the highest inlet and outlet size.

Please reply.

Thank You!

If you're discussing Pressure-relief valves to API-526 , then the size range is 1" x D x 2" to 8" x T x 10"

Outside of API-526, sizes made can range from 3/8" inlet up to 20" x 24" (in x out) depending on manufacturer, and may be limited by application.

Actual orifice can vary by manufacturer, The 20 x 24 from one maker can have an actual orifice area of approx. 138,000 mm2.

What concern do you have?

*** Per ISO-4126, the generic term
'Safety Valve' is used regardless of application or design ***

*** 'Pressure-relief Valve' is the equivalent ASME/API term ***

By paper, the API-526 lists typical valve size for the different orifice designations. But, additional valve sizes may be available by different Manufacturers.
