Not quite as straight-forward as using the tube diameter in a shell and tube rupture case. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

My impression of the failure mode for a plate frame heat exchanger is gasket "blow-out" Can you ever produce a "through the plate" hole by overpressurizing either side of a PHE ? Contact APV or any of the other large PHE vendors and ask about the results of their test programs. My opinion only..... MJC Upvote 0 Downvote
