Hello,
I am designing a PT slab on soil per the geotech recommendation
It is new for me, I want to ask about how to model Post tensioning slab on ground?
which software is preferred including inserting soil parameters like EDGE MOISTURE VARIATION DISTANCE Em?
I found many videos but they are mainly about elevated slab on columns, any resources for Post tension slab on soil?
Thank you

First, I would start with PTI design documents. Another great resource I see people using is the older UBC codes. Once you got a hang of doing it by hand or at least understanding it, you could then try software. I am only aware of a few pieces of software that can do PT slabs on grade and many people I see using spreadsheets. I use PTISlab3.5 typically, but caution that you really need to understand what you are doing to use it properly, especially if you are located in Texas as your profile suggests where the soils are garbage typically.

Thank you for your response, I will be grateful if you guide me to a specific book OR document with solved example.

Sorry, I just saw your response.

I'm not aware of a specific book with solved examples unfortunately. However the design document you are looking for is PTI DC10.1-08 or newer if there are newer versions. Another good reference is older UBC codes as they had a very similar design method in them.

Thank you for your response,
One last question, I found a solved example on ACI CODE Design of Slabs-on-Ground 360R-06 Does it match with the PTI DC10.1-08 EQUATIONS?
