Has anyone seen any published data on the pull-out strength
of Helicoils?

They have charts in the back of their [paper] catalog -Tensile Strength of Ass'y vs. Parent Mat'l Shear Strength.
- For large sizes, call them up & they'll fax you a chart.

I am currently on a project where hardened helicoil inserts are being used in a quick change blind application. They are used as a wear item in the 316SS flanges and can be replaced rather than the flange. They are 1" dia. bolts and are designed for 3600 psi working pressure.
