I have been assigned a project for replacement of phase reversal switches at a pumped hydro facility in the U.S. Our current set up uses 5 230 kv vertical air break switches on a single operator. The operator is a three position operator which moves approximately 75 degrees in either direction from neutral (all switches open). The operator may be locked in the neutral position.
Does any other pumped hydro facility use this 5 switch scheme?
Since we are looking to replace the units, does anyone know of a motor operator capable of three position operation?
What airswitch manufacturers have others been using for phase reversal? What has been your experience?
Thanks in advance

If it is broken, fix it. If it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.
