I am using PV Elite 2017 with code reference ASME Sec VIII, Div-1 for Pressure Vessel Design.
now i have a issue with nozzle joint efficiency. I need to know how the system acquires nozzle joint efficiency, or the input tabs for it.
I have input longitudinal and circumferential seam efficiencies as 0.85 for all shells and selected RT-3 in the design section, but i am not aware of the nozzle joint efficiency that the system acquiring.

Do I need to input additional data for nozzle joint efficiency or it will work on itself after i select 0.85 long and 0.85 circ seam efficiency for elements (shell and heads) and select RT-3 in design panel?

It should comply with the rules in ASME VIII-1 for joint efficiencies.
Have you checked the logic in the code in accordance with your specific design?

Thank you CuMo, but i am still not clear about my question...

I went through the code book of ASME VIII-1 with many paragraphs/codes regarding this issue but still not satisfied with explanations there and i particularly want to know how should we handle nozzle joint efficiency (flange to neck joint) while designing that nozzle. I did not find any use of nozzle joint efficiency in nozzle calculations except (nozzle efficiency and shell efficiency, both i think will be 1 for my case as i am using seamless neck and there is no seam clash, refereed UG-37 and UG-27).

So, what should i do if i want to design my whole vessel with RT-3 and i am not getting any input sections for nozzle joint efficiency. I have selected Spot radiography per UW-11(b)type-1 for all heads and shells so i would like to do the same with nozzle joint efficiency.

Refer to Table UW-12 for Type No. (7), as stated by the table, the limitations are per Figure UW-16.1 and there is no joint efficiency for this kind of joint.
However, UW-15 provide few other rules for the design of welded connection and nozzle attachment.
P.S
there are some code interpretations regarding this issue.

Nozzles are exempt from RT if they are 10" NPS or less and less than 1.125" WT.
