The project of mini PV solar station provides an installation of the ground loop around 10 solar panels + metal supports where lightning protection (two lightning rods) is provided to be connected with a grounding. All metal parts (panel frames, metal structure etc.) will be bonded and grounded somewhere. My manager requires that bonding wire goes to the same ground loop what I can’ not accept .
Because we have a control house with another ground loop 120 ft away, my idea is to connect these two ground loops with two ground wires or strips and later ‘bring’ that bonding wires from the solar panels to the control house area where a ground connection is provided to be made.
Please give me your comments including a ground wire sizes.
