Hello ,
Thank you for the help on my posts. I apologise for a lot of questions but I am having a hard time making sure that my Explicit analysis results are making sense. I tried my analysis with sealant for two time periods 0.001 sec and 0.01 sec. Both analyses show KE small in comparison with IE though the KE plot is not so smooth. I am comparing stresses in plates since those are of interest. Both analyses show similar (around 5%difference) max and min stress results (reading the value bar shown by abaqus at the side).
My question is 5% difference between the max stress results acceptable? Also should all the results on the color bar be the same or again 5% difference would be acceptable? (for example the color bar shows stresses from tensile to compressive should they all be the same?)
Though the values are not much different the contour plots show a slight difference where the colours are (for example- in first case if it shows a red region on one side in the second case the region is slightly reduced etc.)?
One more thing I am thinking is since my analsysis without sealant runs in standard, I could run an explicit solution for different time periods without sealant and compare with standard till I get similar results . But then the only question would be can I use this time period for the analysis with sealant in it?
I would appreciate any help on this
