Hello everyone,
I have question about best practice in designing of support structure of linear guides system.
I am designing a mechanism with linear motion that is going to work in very contaminated environment under high loads, with almost no requirements to precision and speed.
The idea was to use the most robust components with self alignment features.
I choose next guide linear system:
I want to install it on UPN 180 C-channel extrusion from stainless steel (EN10025).
According to standard (EN10025) geometric tolerances are to big for the rails.
Is there any general accepted design guides for this type of structure?
What do usually install under linear guides?
Thanks in advance
