Hi!I'm a newbie in FEA world, using Marc preference for Patran.
I've got two questions about FEA:

The first one is, how can I specificate a moment (rotational force) in Patran? I've tried with the LBC 'Force', but no action seems to ocurre when the analysis is launched.

The second question is about MPCs. I'd like to rotate a wheel around a central node. I've fixed all the translations, and X & Y rotations in this node, and i want the nodes in the periphery move like a rigid body when a moment in Zaxis is comunicated at this central node. How can I do this?

I would thank some help!
Cheers

Is your analysis actually running?
I would recommend reading up on how to do things (try msc documentation). Then try some baby steps first to get use to FE. The answer your looking for isn't very hard, so just do a little digging & trial runs to get experience whilst finding your answer.
good luck

Thank you 40818.

I've tried applying the moment on an independent node of a RBE2 constraint and it works right (or so it seems).
I think my other problem it's solved now too.

Cheers
