Hi,
I need a battery pack with 72v and over 100ah.
Here in Norway 75ah+ batteries cost more than the motor itself so I need to get some lower ah ones connected together.
I want to connect 7 12v 60ah batteries together. I want to know if I have understood correctly in that I can connect 2 of them in parallel, raising the ah to 120 then hook the rest up in series raising get to 72v. A total of 72v and 120ah.
Is this right?

Thank you.

How do you expect to get 100Ah through the other 5 60Ah batteries?

Have the parallel at the end of the pack? Then I guess the voltage would be bottlenecked...

If you want 72V and >100AH you'll need twelve 12V blocs, not seven. Link the blocs together in strings of six blocs, then link the strings together at the most positive terminals and most negative terminals of each string to give two 72V / 60AH strings in parallel, i.e 72V / 120AH.
