Hi Eng-Tip community,

First I would like to apologize if it isn't the right place to post such subjects.

I am a young production/mechanical engineer and are studying myself creating and reading technical drawings. I have read couple of textbooks in my native language and ISO standards related to mechanical engineering drawings from ISO Standard Handbook, also several articles and texts in web. They are good for understanding the principles, but the real understanding and knowledge comes with practice. I started to draw simple elements and are trying to measure them according to ISO Standards. It would be very helpful if somebody could validate them and give some advice and tips. They are just simple elements with dimensions and dimensional tolerancing on them. Is this forum and topic a place for such a questions or not?

With respect,
Andy

forum1103 may be a better place to ask this type of question, though many members are more familiar with ASME standards.

Posting guidelines faq731-376 (probably not aimed specifically at you)

Thank You Kenat. This really might be better topic for my questions.
