Hello everyone, I have the following query:
I have a model of a canopy with rectangular columns, I-beams and trusses made with SAP2000. When I want to import in Idea Statica a set of elements connected to a node, to design the connection, nothing matters to me, it just throws me this message
“An error occurred during the import. Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Does anyone know what this means and how to solve the import problem?

Thanks for the answers

If someone sees this query and knows the professional who uses Idea Statica, please inform them of this query.

According to IDEA Staticas website there is a connection between IDEA Statica and SAP2000. If you have a problem, why don't you simply ask their support team?

I have very good luck with their tech support. I have not used the SAP link, but use the Tekla link frequently. The tekla link was improved in V2022. That link saves a lot of time. Modeling in Ideastatica takes quite a bit of practice.

ThomasH (Structural) A: I'm using a trial version that I got after a course that included application of this program. Thanks

Brad805 (Structural) A: Thanks for the suggestion.
