question for stevenmon or others re thread frm 05-sw vs. aluminum

I found a thread re use of anodized aluminum in a seawater application - an instrument housing - from 05, started by "stevenmon". I am reviewing a similar application and would like to know how this thread worked out.

Or, if anyone has any practical experience with actual lifespan of 6061-t6 aluminum in immersed seawater service, I would appreciate it.
